At Butter Bites, we share the Filipino classic Silvanas and Sans Rival, a dessert known for its delicate layers of buttercream, crisp meringue, and the familiar warmth of roasted nuts. What started in our home kitchen became a way to bring a piece of Filipino heritage to Toronto through something simple, comforting, and made with care.

We make every Silvanas and Sans Rival in small batches using the same techniques passed down through our grandmother. Crisp layers, smooth buttercream, and thoughtful flavour choices come together with patience and pride. Whether it is our Classic Cashew, Ube, or Pistachio, each flavour carries a sense of nostalgia and the joy of sharing something meaningful.

The brand is named after Butter, our dog and an important part of our family, and also the main ingredient that gives our desserts their flavour and character. Her name reflects the comfort and warmth we want people to feel when they open our boxes. Alongside our Shiba Inu, Chicken, they bring a bit of heart and happiness into everything we do.

Behind the brand are Vincent and Marian, first-generation Filipino immigrants building a small business rooted in culture and craft. Vincent brings over eight years of marketing experience across different industries, along with business studies in the Philippines, Canada, and the Netherlands. Marian studied culinary arts in the Philippines and later completed a food tourism program in Toronto, blending technique with a deep love for Filipino flavours.

From our home in Toronto to yours, we are proud to share a dessert that has always been and will always feel like home.
